KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has reiterated the government’s commitment to amending the Constitution based on national consensus.

Addressing today’s session of the House of Representatives, Prime Minister Oli reminded lawmakers of the government’s earlier pledge to review the Constitution during its formation.

He emphasized the importance of strengthening its strong aspects while rectifying weaknesses identified during its implementation.

Responding to questions raised during discussions on the government’s policies and programs, the Prime Minister underlined the need for healthy political competition, mutual dialogue, cooperation, and coexistence among political parties.

He stated that these principles would be key to ensuring continued political stability and policy consistency in the country.

“We are committed to protecting the Constitution and strengthening the federal democratic republican system of governance. We will firmly oppose any regressive, revivalist, or anarchic activities that threaten this system,” PM Oli declared.

He further expressed confidence that the House would stand united in protecting the sacrifices made by the people and in advancing the achievements of Nepal’s democratic journey.
