KATHMANDU: The British Council announces the launch of the Connections Through Culture (CTC) Grants 2025, inviting Nepali artists, cultural practitioners, and creative organisations to apply for funding to collaborate with counterparts in the UK.

At a time when global collaboration is more vital than ever, the Connections Through Culture Grants offer up to £10,000 for projects that bring together creative communities across borders.

From joint residencies and co-created exhibitions to performances, research, and digital storytelling, the programme supports initiatives that supports mutual understanding, spark innovative dialogue, and build sustainable international partnerships.

Rustom Mody, Country Director, British Council Nepal, added: “This programme empowers artists and organisations to imagine new futures together. Through shared creativity and mutual respect, we’re seeing meaningful partnerships flourish across borders—and the impact is lasting.”

The 2025 edition of the programme is open to applicants from the UK and 19 partner countries across Asia-Pacific and Europe, including Nepal. This year, the British Council aims to fund around 90 projects, with a particular focus on work that engages with global themes such as climate action, diversity and inclusion, and equity in the arts. “Connections Through Culture is more than a grant—it’s a catalyst for creativity, collaboration, and change,” said Jill Richens, Regional Arts Director, British Council South Asia. “We’re proud to champion projects that not only celebrate artistic innovation but also build bridges between cultures and communities.”
