Gold prices drop while silver gains

KATHMANDU: The price of gold saw a decline while silver recorded a slight gain in the Nepali market today, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

As per the association, the price of hallmark gold dropped by Rs 100 per tola on Sunday.

The new trading price stands at Rs 190,500 per tola, down from Rs 190,600 per tola on Friday.

Similarly, the price of worked gold (Tejabi gold) has also decreased, now trading at Rs 189,900 per tola.

In contrast, silver prices edged up in today’s market. Silver is currently being traded at Rs 1,970 per tola, a rise of Rs 10 compared to Friday’s rate of Rs 1,960 per tola.
