House session to decide on govt policy & program

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives under the Federal Parliament is scheduled to convene at 11 AM today at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.
The ongoing session will continue deliberations on the annual policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83, which was presented by President Ramchandra Paudel during the joint session of Parliament on Baisakh 19.
Following the discussion, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is expected to respond to questions and concerns raised by lawmakers regarding the proposed policy.
Additionally, various amendment proposals submitted by members of parliament will be tabled for decision.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire will present the government’s annual policy and program for approval by the House.
The passage of this policy is anticipated to outline key priorities for the upcoming year, including development, good governance, infrastructure, and social services.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is scheduled to introduce a proposal on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for fiscal year 2082/83 (excluding tax provisions) for parliamentary discussion.
