Stolen bike crash leaves youth critically injured
The motorcyclist, identified as 20-year-old Darta Man Tamang of Gajuri Rural Municipality–07, Dhading, suffered severe injuries to his forehead, neck, and nose.

KATHMANDU: A young man sustained serious injuries in a late-night road accident near Narayan Gopal Chowk in the capital.
According to Kathmandu Metropolitan Police, the incident occurred at approximately 12:45 AM when a tipper truck (Ba 4 Kha 1203), traveling toward New Bus Park, collided head-on with a motorcycle (Ba Pra-02-041 P 3938) coming from the opposite direction.
The motorcyclist, identified as 20-year-old Darta Man Tamang of Gajuri Rural Municipality–07, Dhading, suffered severe injuries to his forehead, neck, and nose.
He was initially treated at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital and later referred to Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) in Sinamangal for further treatment.
SP Apilraj Bohora, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Police Range, confirmed that a preliminary investigation revealed the motorcycle had been stolen.
Tamang allegedly stole the bike late last night from Sankhu, Ward-7 of Shankharapur Municipality.
The rightful owner, Anil Syangbo, has already contacted the police.
Police stated that Tamang was fleeing on the stolen motorcycle when he crashed into the tipper truck traveling in the opposite direction.
The truck driver fled the scene following the accident, while the vehicle owner, Uttam Ghimire of Kakani Rural Municipality–2, Nuwakot, has been located and is cooperating with authorities.
An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
