Government’s new policies and programmes are merely a formality: RPP Chair Lingden
He claimed that the citizens are disappointed with the fresh policies and programmes of the government.

KATHMANDU: Chairperson of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rajendra Lingden, has said the government’s policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2025-26 appear to reflect merely the ‘formality’ of the government.
He claimed that the citizens are disappointed with the fresh policies and programmes of the government.
The RPP lawmaker was putting his views on the policies and programmes representing the party in the House of Representatives (HoR) session today.
“The Budhigandaki-like project of national pride failed to get priority in the government’s policies and programmes,” he said, adding that it incorporated no programmes aiming to create employment opportunities for youths.
Rajendra Prasad Pandey of the CPN (Unified Socialist) said amidst economic crisis and youth plights, the country needed to rely on remittance-based economy.
“The government became unable to present substantive policies and programmes to correct the bad governance and the institutional failure and to address the livelihood needs of the citizens,” he said.
