Foreign Ministry confirms contact with all Nepalis in Pakistan
The Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad remains operational and has established a 24-hour emergency contact line for Nepali citizens in need of assistance.

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal has confirmed that it is in continuous contact with Nepali students and citizens currently residing in Pakistan, as tensions between India and Pakistan continue to escalate.
Issuing a press release issued on Friday, the ministry emphasized that the Government of Nepal is fully aware of the security concerns arising from the growing conflict in the region and remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens abroad.
“The Government of Nepal is in constant communication with Nepali nationals in Pakistan and is closely monitoring the developments. In case of any emergency, all Nepali citizens are advised to immediately contact the Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad,” the statement read.
This comes as reports of heightened military activities along the India-Pakistan border have sparked concerns in the international community.
Both countries have increased troop deployments and cross-border shelling has reportedly intensified in the past few days, particularly in the Kashmir region.
Background on the Conflict
Tensions between India and Pakistan have flared up following a series of incidents along the Line of Control (LoC).
According to international media, both sides have accused each other of ceasefire violations, with casualties reported on both sides.
The situation has led to increased diplomatic efforts from several countries urging restraint and dialogue. The United Nations has also issued a statement calling for de-escalation and the protection of civilians.

The Foreign Ministry of Nepal has reiterated its commitment to assist Nepali nationals in conflict-affected regions and has advised all citizens to remain alert, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay informed through official government channels.
