10 Kg cannabis seized in Bhedetar; one arrested
During inspection at Bhedetar Chowk, the team discovered cannabis hidden in a zebra-patterned bag placed in the vehicle's rear trunk.

KATHMANDU: A man was arrested on Friday morning with 10 kilograms of cannabis during a routine vehicle check in Bhedetar Bazaar, located in Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality-6.
According to police, a team deployed under the command of Sub-Inspector Ramesh Pradhan from the Area Police Office, Bhedetar, intercepted a microbus en route from Hile to Itahari.
During inspection at Bhedetar Chowk, the team discovered cannabis hidden in a zebra-patterned bag placed in the vehicle’s rear trunk.
District Police Spokesperson DSP Om Prakash Khanal confirmed that the contraband was packed inside a sack within the bag, weighing approximately 10 kg.
Based on preliminary investigation, 31-year-old Uddhav Rai, a resident of Sahidbhumi Rural Municipality-5, Khoku, who was a passenger in the same microbus (Registration No. Province 1-02-001 J 4326), has been taken into custody for further inquiry.
Authorities have launched a deeper investigation into the incident.
