Rajesh Hamal returns in power-packed avatar in Narashimha Avatar

KATHMANDU: Veteran actor Rajesh Hamal is set to make a grand comeback after eight years with the action-packed film Narashimha Avatar.
The film’s high-octane trailer was officially released during a special event held in Kathmandu on Thursday.
Running for 3 minutes and 15 seconds, the trailer offers a gripping glimpse into the film’s intense storyline, which tackles sensitive social issues such as rape, murder, violence, and corruption.
Hamal appears in two distinct looks, portraying a fearless character fighting against injustice and oppression.
Adding to the nostalgia, the trailer features Hamal delivering his iconic “Hey…” dialogue — a nod to his legendary screen presence.
Actress Niti Shah plays his on-screen wife, while actor Raj Katuwal is also seen in dynamic action scenes.
Narashimha Avatar is written and directed by Diwakar Bhattarai and features a star-studded ensemble including Saroj Khanal, Sanisha Bhattarai, Usha Khadgi, Arjun Shrestha, Prashant Tamrakar, Nir Shah, Ramesh Chand Sodari, Prakash Kunwar, Rajiv Jung Basnet, Deepa Shahi, Amit Giri, and Evelina Khadka.
The film is produced by Nem Maharjan, Deepak Sharma Dhakal, Narendra Maharjan, and Dhurva Neupane.
The crew boasts talents such as Raju Thapa (DOP), Sahil Khan and Milan Shrestha (editors), Chandra Pant (story), Raju Tamang (action direction), Rikesh Gurung (background score), Samir Miya (VFX), and choreographers Kabiraj Gahatraj and Michael Chand.
One of the film’s recreated songs, “Achha Lekin London Ko”, is already gaining traction and generating buzz among fans.
Narashimha Avatar is slated for release on Jestha 9 (May 23).
