Mysterious death of professor in Bajura
He had attended his regular classes in the morning but failed to return home in the evening.

KATHMANDU: Narendra Thapa, a 38-year-old professor at Badimalika Campus, was found dead under suspicious circumstances on Wednesday evening, raising concerns of possible foul play.
Thapa, a resident of Budhiganga Municipality-6, Sayal, was discovered lying face-down in a roadside drain along the Sanphebagar-Martadi road, approximately 500 meters from the campus where he worked.
According to police reports, his eyes were severely damaged and he had deep injuries to his head and face, suggesting a violent assault.
He had attended his regular classes in the morning but failed to return home in the evening.
Locals discovered his body around 6:30 PM and were left in shock by the gruesome condition in which it was found.
Thapa lived alone in a house near the campus, while his wife is employed as a schoolteacher in Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality.
The nature of the injuries and the scene have led locals to strongly suspect murder.
Police have initiated an investigation, and further revelations are expected following a detailed inquiry.
