KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited (GIBL), in collaboration with Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL), has officially launched a card-based online payment gateway to facilitate secure and seamless e-commerce transactions in Nepal.
With this new service, the bank can now acquire not only physical merchants but also online merchants.
These merchants will be able to accept payments from VISA and MasterCard issued by both domestic and international banks.
This move aims to promote the growth of e-commerce transactions across the country.
According to the bank, the newly launched payment gateway supports both domestic and international payments, enabling merchants to expand their business reach beyond borders.
The system is built with 3D Secure technology, ensuring enhanced security for card-based payments and minimizing the risk of unauthorized transactions.
Online or e-commerce-based merchants can integrate this gateway into their platforms by contacting Global IME Bank and completing the necessary technical and procedural steps.
