Microfinance victims stage protest in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Victims of microfinance institutions staged a demonstration today at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu, demanding the fulfillment of promises previously made by the government.

The protestors allege that the government has failed to implement the agreement reached with them last year, which had temporarily ended their movement.

Having resumed their agitation on Chaitra 17, the demonstrators are now intensifying their campaign, urging the government to take immediate action on their demands.
