PSG power past Arsenal to reach UEFA Champions League final

KATHMANDU: French football giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have secured their place in the UEFA Champions League final after a convincing 2-1 victory over English side Arsenal in the second leg of the semifinal on Wednesday night.
With this win, PSG progressed to the final with a 3-1 aggregate score, moving one step closer to their long-awaited European glory.
The French champions will now face Italian powerhouse Inter Milan in the final, set to be held in Munich, Germany.
From the opening whistle, PSG displayed dominant and attacking football.
Midfielder Fabián Ruiz gave PSG the lead in the 27th minute with a well-taken goal.
In the second half, Achraf Hakimi doubled the advantage in the 72nd minute, putting PSG firmly in control of the tie.
Although Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka pulled one back just four minutes later, the Gunners were unable to find the goals needed to overturn the deficit.
Having also trailed in the first leg, Arsenal required at least two goals to make it to the final, but PSG’s resolute defense kept them at bay.
