Prachanda injured in terrace resort fall, not at home as earlier reported

KATHMANDU: Chair of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, sustained injuries after falling at a resort in Lakuri Bhanjyang, Lalitpur, it has been revealed.

Earlier reports had suggested that Prachanda was injured after slipping in the bathroom at his residence.

However, sources have now confirmed that the incident took place at the Terrace Resort, where he had been spending the evening with his daughter, son-in-law, and close family members.

The former Prime Minister had gone to the resort on Tuesday evening for dinner and a private gathering.

According to reports, he slipped and fell around midnight, sustaining a head injury.

He was immediately rushed to Mediciti Hospital for treatment.

Doctors at the hospital confirmed that Prachanda received three stitches on his head.

After receiving medical attention, he was discharged around 4:30 AM.

The hospital has stated that his condition is stable and there is no cause for concern.
