Paudel urges youth to lead Nepal’s political future
Minister Paudel emphasized the pressing need for youth engagement in resolving the nation’s ongoing challenges.

KATHMANDU: Minister for Health and Population, Pradeep Paudel, has strongly indicated that the next generation must take the lead in shaping Nepal’s political future.
Addressing a program held in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Minister Paudel emphasized the pressing need for youth engagement in resolving the nation’s ongoing challenges.
While acknowledging that the transition of leadership will not be easy, Paudel expressed confidence that the future of the country lies in the hands of those who possess fresh ideas and the capacity to bring meaningful change. “Everyone is aware of the problems, but no one has been able to provide solutions. It is now up to the younger generation to step into politics with answers, not just complaints,” he said. “There is still much work to be done. We must abandon the defeatist mindset that nothing can be achieved. If others have failed, we must move forward with the confidence that we can succeed.”
Highlighting the public’s growing interest in leaders who bring innovation and progressive thinking, Paudel made it clear that leadership should not be based solely on age. “One does not deserve leadership just because they are young. It is visionary thinking and transformative action that earn leadership,” he stated.
Addressing student organizations, the Minister urged them to identify common causes, maintain unity, and move forward collectively.
He noted that student movements, when backed by strategy and unity, can still significantly influence state policies.
