Gold price soars

KATHMANDU: The price of gold in Nepal has seen a significant rise, influenced by a surge in the international market.

On Wednesday, the price of gold increased by Rs 1,700 per tola (approximately 11.66 grams), reaching Rs 191,600 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of silver has remained stable at Rs 1,965 per tola.

Just a day earlier, on Tuesday, the price of gold was Rs 189,900 per tola, while silver was trading at the same rate of Rs 1,965 per tola.

This jump comes as gold prices in the international market climbed to USD 3,393 per ounce, as reported by global news agencies.
