Prachanda slips in bathroom, condition stable
Doctors have confirmed that his condition is stable and there are no serious injuries.

KATHMANDU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister of Nepal, sustained minor injuries after slipping in the bathroom late at night, according to his secretariat.
The incident occurred as Prachanda was heading to the restroom before going to bed.
He was immediately taken to Mediciti Hospital in Kathmandu for a thorough medical check-up. Doctors have confirmed that his condition is stable and that there are no serious injuries.
Following the medical assessment, Prachanda returned home and has since resumed his regular duties, his press advisor Govinda Acharya confirmed. “We thank everyone who expressed concern about his health,” Acharya added.
His daughter and personal secretary, Ganga Dahal, also provided an update via social media, stating, “Last night, my father slipped in the bathroom and suffered a minor external injury on his forehead. He underwent a routine check-up at nearby Mediciti Hospital and has returned home. He has resumed his daily activities.”
Although the incident was minor, the party has decided that Prachanda will follow a modified work schedule with adequate rest, as per medical advice. He will attend only light and essential engagements over the next few days.
The Prachanda family and his secretariat have expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who showed concern for his well-being.
