NEPSE Index inches up by 1.03 points, closes at 2,611.43

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index posted a slight gain of 1.03 points on Tuesday, closing at 2,611.43 points.

This marks a modest recovery after five consecutive days of market decline.

Compared to Monday, the index rose by a marginal 0.03 points.

A total of 120 companies saw their stock prices increase, while 126 experienced a decline.

Trading activity remained robust, with 80,054 transactions taking place.

The total turnover for the day stood at Rs 8.74 billion, involving the trade of 20.54 million shares.

Among the sub-indices, all sectors except for Trading, Non-life Insurance, Manufacturing & Processing, Life Insurance, and Hydropower witnessed a decline.
