MP Bhattarai: Govt policy youth-oriented & investment-friendly
MP Bhattarai emphasized that the policy ensures provisions for job creation targeting youth and encourages a favorable investment climate.
KATHMANDU: CPN-UML lawmaker Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai has stated that the newly introduced government policy and program is both youth-oriented and investment-friendly.
Speaking at today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, MP Bhattarai emphasized that the policy ensures provisions for job creation targeting youth and encourages a favorable investment climate.
“The plan includes the establishment of an Integrated Project Bank, along with industrial, environmental, and youth-centered strategies. Priority has been given to agriculture, industry, production, and infrastructure development,” Bhattarai said.
He argued that if Nepal could effectively consolidate the capital of Nepalis scattered across the globe, the country would not need to rely on external aid for economic development.
Highlighting energy, agriculture, and tourism as key drivers of national prosperity, Bhattarai stressed the importance of boosting investment in productive sectors.
“We sell electricity to neighboring countries, but we must not be in a position where we sell cheap and buy expensive. This imbalance must end,” he asserted.
