KATHMANDU: Janardan Sharma, the Vice Chair of the CPN (Maoist Centre), emphasized the need for the government to take parliamentary questions seriously and provide comprehensive responses.

Speaking during the zero hour of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Sharma urged that the government must be more diligent and accountable when addressing the issues raised by lawmakers.

He further suggested that the Speaker of the House should direct the government to respond with greater responsibility.

Sharma accused the government of failing to address citizens’ concerns and neglecting to offer any solutions, calling it a serious lapse in responsibility.

He stated, “On citizens’ issues, the government is neither offering solutions nor willing to respond. Why this irresponsibility? I would like to request the Speaker to either discontinue the zero hour or direct the government, through your office, to respond seriously.”

Sharma’s remarks raised the question: Why is the government acting irresponsibly?
