KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the Nepali market has surged for the second day in a row, reaching a new high.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold on Tuesday was set at Rs 189,900 per tola, marking a sharp increase of Rs 5,300 from the previous day.
On Monday, the price had already seen a slight uptick of Rs 500, standing at Rs 184,600 per tola.
With gold prices continuing their upward trend, both general consumers and those involved in the jewelry business are feeling the impact.
In a similar trend, silver prices also rose on Tuesday.
After trading at Rs 1,910 per tola on Monday, the price increased by Rs 55 to reach Rs 1,965 per tola, the Federation reported.
