Armed police divers recover youth’s body from Seti River

KATHMANDU: The body of an 18-year-old youth who went missing while swimming in the Seti River has been recovered by a team of divers from the Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal.

The deceased has been identified as Yubaraj BK, a resident of Nisikhola Rural Municipality–3 in Baglung district, who had been living in Majheripatan, Pokhara Metropolitan City–14.

He had reportedly gone swimming in the river at Khaltemasina, located in the same ward, around 2:00 PM on Baisakh 22, when he drowned and went missing.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a rescue team including trained divers from APF No. 24 Kalika Battalion, Kaski, under the command of Inspector Bhola Shrestha, was immediately deployed.

After approximately one and a half hours of intensive search operations, the team recovered the body from an estimated depth of 18 feet.
