KATHMANDU: Dr. Sunil Sharma, a youth leader of the Nepali Congress and a Member of Parliament in the House of Representatives, has extended a compassionate hand by arranging free medical treatment for a woman from a marginalized community in Morang district.

The beneficiary, Kaushila Musahar of Kanepokhari Rural Municipality–3, had been suffering from a severe intestinal ailment for an extended period, leaving her unable to walk.

Due to extreme financial hardship, she had been deprived of timely medical care and was reportedly battling for her life.

Dr. Sharma was informed of Kaushila’s condition by social worker Gopal Sangraula.

Moved by her plight, he immediately mobilized support, dispatching a medical team from Nobel Medical College along with an ambulance to bring her to the hospital.

Kaushila is now undergoing free treatment at Nobel Medical College, thanks to Dr. Sharma’s intervention.

His initiative has brought hope to Kaushila and her community, highlighting the critical importance of accessible healthcare for Nepal’s most vulnerable populations.
