Finance Minister Paudel consults key leaders on upcoming budget
According to Dahal's secretariat, the meeting focused on various aspects related to the fiscal year 2082/83 budget.
KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel has intensified consultations ahead of the upcoming fiscal year’s budget formulation.
On Tuesday morning, he held discussions with the main opposition party leader and Chairperson of the Maoist Centre, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, at his residence in Khumaltar.
According to Dahal’s secretariat, the meeting focused on various aspects related to the fiscal year 2082/83 budget.
Earlier on Monday, Minister Paudel met Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba at his residence in Budhanilkantha to seek suggestions regarding the budget.
As the federal parliament continues discussions on the government’s policies and programs, the government is preparing to present the budget on Jestha 15, prompting Minister Paudel to intensify consultations with key political leaders.
The discussions are reportedly centered on budget priorities, inclusive development, revenue structure, social security, agriculture, employment, and the effective implementation of federalism.
