KATHMANDU: Nottingham Forest’s hopes of securing a UEFA Champions League spot took a hit after a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday night.

Eberechi Eze put the home side ahead in the 60th minute, calmly converting from the penalty spot after Palace were awarded a spot-kick.

However, Forest responded quickly, with Murillo leveling the score just four minutes later with a clever flick inside the box.

The result comes as a setback for Forest, especially with rivals Manchester City, Chelsea, and Aston Villa all securing wins over the weekend.

With only three matches remaining in the Premier League season, Forest now sit sixth in the table with 61 points — two points behind fifth-placed Chelsea.

Crystal Palace remain in 12th position with the result, showing consistency as they prepare for the FA Cup final.
