NEPSE drops 9.62 points as market continues downward trend
As the index continues to fall, investors have become discouraged.

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 9.62 points on Monday, closing at 2,610.76 points, which is a decrease of 0.36% compared to the previous day.
This marks the continuation of a downward trend in the NEPSE index, which has been declining for the last four trading days, and Monday followed the same pattern.
As the index continues to fall, investors have become discouraged.
Out of the 86 companies that traded shares on that day, 159 saw a decrease in their share prices, while only one company’s share price remained unchanged.
A total of 65,884 transactions were made, with 18,437,942 shares traded.
The total trading value amounted to 7.63 billion Nepalese Rupees, a decrease compared to the previous day’s turnover of 9.24 billion Rupees.
Of the 13 subgroups that traded shares on Monday, the indices for microfinance, mutual funds, and life insurance showed a slight increase.
However, the indices for the remaining subgroups fell, contributing to the overall drop in the NEPSE index by almost double digits.
