KATHMANDU: Laminar Tiles has inaugurated its exclusive flagship experience center in Kathmandu.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Urban Development, Prakashman Singh, formally opened the center today in a ceremony.

The company mentioned that the center is now open for consumers wishing to build or renovate their homes, as well as for construction workers, engineers, interior designers, and anyone interested in tiles.

Located in Gayaridhara, in front of the North Gate, the center aims to provide an opportunity to directly observe and experience the innovations and technology behind Nepali tiles, showcasing the entire range of products manufactured by the company at a single location.

During the inauguration, Minister Singh urged people to increase the use of Nepali products. He said, “Whether it’s a hotel, restaurant, building, hospital, or personal home, I request everyone to use Laminar vitrified tiles when constructing any physical structure.”

The center, which spans 4,000 square feet, showcases over 400 international-level designs classified into seven different collections. It offers solutions for various sectors.

The company provides solutions for interior walls and floors of homes and commercial buildings, high-traffic areas such as shopping malls, hotels, educational institutions, and airports, as well as areas exposed to water like rooftops, balconies, swimming pools, and bathrooms. Additionally, solutions are provided for outdoor areas like cladding, facades, driveways, and parking.

The center also features vitrified tiles with a water absorption rate of less than 0.08%, ensuring high strength, long-lasting durability, stain resistance, and sustainable beauty.

“The center is different from traditional showrooms and can be seen as a destination for design inspiration and an extraordinary proof of innovation in Nepal,” said Dhitai, Chairman of Laminar Tiles. “Our experience center is a symbol of Laminar’s commitment to world-class quality, sustainable local production, and design-oriented thinking.”

Laminar Tiles, produced by Lumbini Ceramics Limited, is manufactured at a state-of-the-art production facility spread across 14 bighas in Guleriya, Bardiya.

The company stated that the daily production capacity of this facility exceeds 140,000 square feet.
