KATHMANDU: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal has proposed the initiation of discussions on the government’s policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83.

Speaking on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Minister Dahal presented the proposal during today’s session of the House of Representatives.

The proposal seeks to begin deliberations on the policy and program presented by President Ram Chandra Paudel during the joint session of the Federal Parliament on Baisakh 19.

Participating in the discussion, lawmaker Gopal Bhattarai remarked that the upcoming policy and program are well-structured. “The initiative to address the shortcomings observed during the implementation of the Constitution is commendable. It’s time to review the Constitution,” he stated.

He further praised the policy of reviewing projects announced by various governments and scrapping those that remain incomplete. “Scrapping uncompleted projects after investing public funds indicates a farsighted policy direction,” Bhattarai added.

He also emphasized that the proposed coordination among the three tiers of government reflects strategic foresight and will strengthen governance.
