Int’l nail seminar showcasing Japanese expertise concludes in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The two-day International Nail Seminar held in Kathmandu brought a vibrant wave of inspiration to Nepal’s nail art industry, uniting five renowned Japanese nail artists — Haru, Miyano, Kanako, Maiko, and Oki — with over 50 local nail professionals on a single platform.
Presented by Pop Up Nepal Pvt. Ltd. and organized in collaboration with Pretty Nails and The Nail Studio by Sirap, the seminar aimed to empower Nepal’s nail art industry through exposure to global trends and cutting-edge techniques.
Under the direct guidance of Japanese experts, participants received in-depth training in signature Japanese nail art styles.
The seminar featured hands-on sessions on meticulous hygiene practices, intricate design techniques, and the creation of detailed handcrafted nail stickers.
The training covered a wide spectrum of skills — from nail preparation and equipment maintenance to foundational design principles and advanced artistic workshops.
Led by Anu Amatya, Sirapa Tuladhar, and Kapil Upreti, the event also served as a cultural bridge, fostering meaningful dialogue and professional exchange between Nepal and Japan.
