Missing man found dead after three days
Preliminary police investigations suggest that Tandan lost control of his motorcycle while riding at high speed during the night and crashed into the trench.

KATHMANDU: The body of a man who had been missing for three days was discovered on Monday in Tilottama-2, Shankarnagar. The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Gopal Tandan.
According to the District Police Office in Butwal, Tandan was found dead alongside his motorcycle (Lu 48 Pa 3117) in a roadside trench near Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City Ward No. 11.
The trench had been dug for the removal of a high-tension power line and the installation of monopoles.
Preliminary police investigations suggest that Tandan lost control of his motorcycle while riding at high speed during the night and crashed into the trench.
DSP Indra Bahadur Rana of Area Police Office, Butwal, stated that Tandon’s family had reported him missing on Sunday. “It appears he was riding at high speed around 2 AM and failed to notice the mound of soil, which caused him to fall into the trench,” Rana said.
Tandan’s body has been taken to Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal for post-mortem examination.
Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
