Police arrest 4 with undisclosed Rs 9.57 million in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Police have made public the arrest of four individuals with Rs 9.57 million in cash whose source could not be disclosed.
According to the Kathmandu District Police Range, those arrested include 29-year-old Samudra Jamkattel of Tarkeshwar Municipality-3, Kathmandu; 43-year-old Ganesh Rai of Saptakoshi Municipality-1, Saptari; 31-year-old Santosh Gurung of Dordi Rural Municipality-3, Lamjung; and 39-year-old Santosh Ghimire of the same area.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Apil Raj Bohora, spokesperson for the District Police Range, said the arrests were made in front of Pashupati Vision at Pingalasthan, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9.
The four were riding two motorcycles in a suspicious manner when police stopped and searched their bags, discovering the large amount of undeclared cash.

Authorities are investigating the source of the money and possible links to illegal activities.
