Nagdhunga-Naubise road to close for four hours
The temporary closure is necessary for the upgrading and reconstruction of the Nagdhunga to Pipalmod section of the highway.

KATHMANDU: The Nagdhunga-Naubise section of the Tribhuvan Highway will be closed to vehicular movement for four hours each night starting Monday, as part of ongoing road construction and improvement works.
According to a notice issued by the Nagdhunga-Muglin Road Project (Eastern Section), the road will remain closed from 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM daily until Baisakh 31 (May 14).
The temporary closure is necessary for the upgrading and reconstruction of the Nagdhunga to Pipalmod section of the highway.
Vehicles departing from Kathmandu will be halted at the Nagdhunga Checkpost, while those heading toward Kathmandu from Naubise will be stopped at the Khatrepauwa Bridge.
All halted vehicles will be allowed to proceed only after 3:00 AM.
However, emergency vehicles such as ambulances and those belonging to security agencies will be permitted to pass without restriction during the closure period.
The project has also advised travelers to use alternative routes, including the Sitapaila–Bhimdhunga–Ramkot–Dharke road and the Samakhushi–Tokha–Gurjebhanjyang–Chhahare–Trishuli–Galchhi route.
