Rain, thunder & snow likely in hilly & himalayan regions
Light rain with thunder and lightning has been observed in a few places within the hilly areas of Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces.

KATHMANDU: Meteorologists have reported that the current weather pattern in Nepal is influenced by a combination of western disturbances, local winds, and moisture-laden air entering from the Bay of Bengal.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the hilly regions of the country are currently experiencing generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear to partly cloudy.
Light rain with thunder and lightning has been observed in a few places within the hilly areas of Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces.
Afternoon Forecast:
Weather across Nepal is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy. There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few hilly areas, particularly in Koshi Province and isolated areas elsewhere. Light snowfall is also possible in some parts of the Himalayan region.
Night Forecast:
During the night, partly to generally cloudy conditions will persist in the hilly areas, while other regions will see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. One or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces may experience light rain with thunder and lightning. Additionally, light snowfall is expected in a few high-altitude locations in Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Due to the possibility of rain, lightning, and snowfall, the Department has urged the public to take necessary precautions as these weather conditions could affect daily life, agriculture, health, road, and air transportation.
