Kantiloakpath road reopens for traffic

KATHMANDU: The Kantiloakpath Road, which connects Hetauda to Kathmandu, has reopened for traffic from 1 PM today following necessary repair works.

The road had been obstructed after a diversion constructed over the Bagmati River—linking Ward 8 of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality in Makwanpur and Ward 2 of Bagmati Rural Municipality in Lalitpur—was damaged due to flooding triggered by recent rainfall.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shyamu Aryal, spokesperson for the District Police Office Makwanpur, repair and maintenance work on the road has been completed, allowing the resumption of vehicular movement.

Road upgrading work had been ongoing in the area for the past few days.
