KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka, has emphasized the need for development and construction work that the public can tangibly experience.

Speaking at a welcome ceremony organized at the Ministry today for newly appointed State Minister Khambahadur Garbuja, Minister Khadka highlighted the importance of fulfilling commitments made to the people.

“As politicians, we make numerous promises during elections and set ambitious goals. We must work from our respective areas to achieve those goals. Our accountability lies directly with the people,” Khadka stated. He added that as political tenures are not permanent, it is vital to carry out impactful work during the time in office.

Minister Khadka also expressed confidence in the support and cooperation of State Minister Garbuja, particularly in delivering results despite limited resources.

He stressed the need for coordination among all three tiers of government to effectively discharge their responsibilities.

Describing Garbuja as a disciplined, responsible, and practical individual, Minister Khadka urged the new state minister to contribute his knowledge and experience for the service of the nation.

He further underlined the importance of transparency, accountability, and collaboration in ensuring effective performance within the ministry.

State Minister Khambahadur Garbuja affirmed his commitment to work for the country and its people, pledging to cooperate with ministry staff to ensure the success of both the ministry and national development goals.

Meanwhile, Energy Secretary Suresh Acharya and Water Resources and Irrigation Secretary Sarita Dawadi emphasized the crucial role of the energy and irrigation sectors in achieving national prosperity and called for focused efforts in their development.
