Minister of State for Energy Garbuja assumes office

KATHMANDU: Newly appointed State Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, Khamba Bahadur Garbuja, officially assumed office today following his swearing-in ceremony.
Minister Garbuja took the oath of office and secrecy earlier today from Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, after which he reached the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation in Singha Durbar to formally take charge.
In a brief conversation with media following the ceremony, Minister Garbuja pledged to work in the best interests of the country and its people.
He emphasized the need for collective effort and cooperation from all stakeholders to make the ministry more effective and result-oriented.
Garbuja, who currently serves as the president of the Nepali Congress in Myagdi and was elected to the House of Representatives from the same district, was appointed as State Minister on the recommendation of Prime Minister Oli.
His appointment was endorsed by President Ramchandra Paudel on Baisakh 17.
