KATHMANDU: The National Assembly has unanimously endorsed the proposal for deliberation on the report titled “The Need for Legal Provisions Regarding the Rights and Development of the Dalit Community, 2081.”

During Sunday’s session of the National Assembly, the proposal to discuss the report was tabled by Kamala Panta, Chairperson of the Development, Economic Affairs, and Good Governance Committee.

The proposal received unanimous support from the members present.

The Assembly is currently holding discussions on the report, which underscores the importance of establishing legal frameworks to ensure the protection and advancement of the Dalit community in Nepal.
