KATHMANDU: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has stated that the newly introduced Staff College course will play a pivotal role in cultivating professional and capable leadership within the Nepal Police force.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Staff College course in Kathmandu this morning, Minister Lekhak expressed confidence that the program will significantly contribute to leadership development in the police service.

“Today marks an important and historic day for Nepal Police. This initiative adds a valuable dimension to the service of a force dedicated to the nation,” said the Home Minister. “I am hopeful that this course will bring about a positive transformation.”

He emphasized that the Staff College will produce police personnel who are professional, committed, honest, and dedicated to their duties, equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and capabilities to serve effectively.

According to Nepal Police, the course has been implemented starting with the batch of police inspectors recruited in 2070 B.S. with 17 candidates having successfully completed the program.

The Staff College course is described as a strategic step towards modernizing the police service, enhancing leadership capacity, and preparing officers to respond to an evolving security environment.
