KATHMANDU: The prestigious Carlsberg Golf Classic 2025 concluded successfully at the picturesque Gokarna Forest Resort Golf Course, drawing an enthusiastic participation of 100 golfers in a thrilling one-day tournament.

Phuntsok N. Lama emerged as the overall champion with an impressive 42 points.

His outstanding performance earned him not only the winner’s trophy but also an exclusive trip to the Carlsberg Brewery in Copenhagen, Denmark—courtesy of Carlsberg.

In the Best Gross category, Tashi Chhirring claimed the title with 41 points, while Namgyal T. Lama secured the runner-up position with 40 points.

On the women’s side, Geeta Gurung clinched the top spot with 25 points. Sushmita Khadka finished as the women’s runner-up. In the senior category, Arjun Kumar Karki took the title with 33 points.

  • Longest Drive: Prakash Gurung

  • Most Birdies: Phuntsok Norbu Lama, who recorded 5 birdies and an eagle

The awards ceremony was graced by Gorkha Brewery Managing Director Arun Adhikari and Gokarna Golf Club Captain Joseph Nathan, who handed out trophies and gift hampers from Carlsberg to all winners.
