DV Lottery 2026 results published
Applicants selected in the DV Lottery will be eligible to begin the immigrant visa application process starting Oct 1, 2025.
KATHMANDU: The United States Department of State has officially released the results for the Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery 2026 program.
According to the Bureau of Consular Affairs, the results were made public on Saturday at 12:00 PM (Eastern Daylight Time), which corresponds to 9:45 PM Nepali time.
Individuals who submitted their DV applications between October 2 and November 7, 2024, can now check their entry status by visiting the U.S. Department of State’s official website: dvprogram.state.gov.
Applicants selected in the DV Lottery will be eligible to begin the immigrant visa application process starting Oct 1, 2025.
As per U.S. government rules, all selected applicants must complete the visa issuance process by the end of Sept 2026.
Failure to do so will result in automatic disqualification.
The Diversity Visa program, commonly known as the DV Lottery or Green Card Lottery, provides a pathway for individuals from countries with historically low rates of immigration to the United States to obtain permanent resident status.
Nepal remains one of the participating countries with a significant number of applicants each year.
The Department has emphasized the importance of checking results only through the official website to avoid scams and misinformation.
