Brothers dies of drowning
Both children were students at Janasewa Secondary School, studying in grades 4 and 2, respectively.
KATHMANDU: Two brothers have died after drowning in a pond in Pultol, Sunwal Municipality-6, West Nawalparasi.
The victims, 10-year-old Vipsan Kunwar and 8-year-old Dipsan Kunwar, sons of local resident Bishnu Kunwar, were reported missing before being found lifeless in the pond near their home.
According to Inspector Santosh Paudel of the Area Police Office, Sunwal, one of the boys was initially seen floating in the pond.
Upon further search, the second child’s body was also discovered.
Both children were students at Janasewa Secondary School, studying in grades 4 and 2, respectively.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the brothers may have accidentally drowned while swimming in the pond.
The incident has plunged the local community into mourning, leaving the entire region in shock and grief.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
