KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel presented the Government of Nepal’s policy and programme for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 during a joint session of both houses of the Federal Parliament held at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

In the policy announcement, the government declared its commitment to implementing the recommendations of the High-Level Economic Reform Suggestions Commission during the upcoming fiscal year.
The commission, led by former Finance Secretary Rameshore Khanal, had already submitted its report to the government.
Presenting the policy document, President Paudel stated that the implementation of the commission’s report would help revitalize the national economy.
He also emphasized the importance of cooperation among the public, cooperative, and private sectors to create employment opportunities and reduce poverty.
The government aims to promote public-private partnerships (PPP) to achieve high, sustainable, and inclusive economic growth.
The policy and programme also highlight the need to maintain coordination between fiscal and monetary policies to ensure macroeconomic stability.
