Government to ensure access to clean & quality drinking water for all citizens in FY 2082/83

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel announced today that the government will ensure access to clean and quality drinking water for all citizens in the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83.
Presenting the government’s policies and programs for the new fiscal year before the joint session of the Federal Parliament, President Paudel said that increased investment in water supply and sanitation will be a key strategy in achieving the goals of sustainable development.
“The government aims to repair and complete drinking water projects that were damaged by disasters or remain unfinished, thereby expanding access to safe drinking water,” President Paudel stated.
He further emphasized that integrated water supply projects will be implemented with the joint investment of local governments and consumers, ensuring long-term sustainability and efficient management of water resources.
