Govt. to reform education system, focus on employment-oriented learning

KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel, addressing the joint session of the Federal Parliament, announced that the government will implement policy and legal reforms to address persistent challenges in school education as part of the upcoming fiscal year’s policies and programs.

He stated that the government will adopt an entrepreneurship-friendly education policy aimed at producing skilled human resources to meet the demands of the labor market.
“The curriculum, teaching, and learning methods will be fundamentally reformed,” President Paudel said. “Our objective is to eliminate the shortage of skilled manpower and increase internal employment opportunities.”
As part of the broader education reform agenda, the government plans to modernize the existing curriculum and teaching practices to make them more practical, market-oriented, and skill-based.
