Medical operator held with banned & controlled drugs in Jhapa
The arrest followed a special operation by a team from the Jhapa District Police Office.

KATHMANDU: A 39-year-old medical operator, Bandana Pokhrel, has been arrested by police for allegedly possessing and distributing banned and controlled pharmaceutical drugs from her pharmacy, Vikram Vikas Medical, located in Bahradashi Rural Municipality-5 of Jhapa district.
The arrest followed a special operation by a team from the Jhapa District Police Office, acting on a tip-off about the illegal sale of narcotic drugs from the pharmacy.
According to the Koshi Province Police Office in Biratnagar, the raid led to the seizure of a significant quantity of controlled substances, including 795 tablets of Tramadol, 470 tablets of Anticough, and 3,980 tablets of Diclomin.
Police officials confirmed that further investigations are underway to determine the extent of the illegal distribution network and possible links to other parties.
