KATHMANDU: A Nepali-run company in Qatar has been honored with a prestigious recognition for its contributions to social responsibility.

Yasmin Naj, originally from Mahottari, Nepal, received the Qatar CSR Award 2025 on behalf of her company, QST Training and Consultancy.

The award was presented to Yasmin by CSR Chief Saif Ali Al-Hajri during the CSR Summit held in Doha on Wednesday evening, under the patronage of Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.

The award is jointly organized by Qatar University and other leading institutions to recognize companies that have made a significant impact on the country’s social development.

With this achievement, QST Training and Consultancy has become the first Nepali-owned company to receive the Qatar CSR Award, marking a proud moment for the entire Nepali community.

Yasmin’s company provides both free and paid skill-based and career development training to migrant workers from Nepal, India, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, various African countries, and more, helping empower laborers across multiple sectors in Qatar.

“This award is not just a recognition for our company, but a matter of pride for all of Nepal,” Yasmin shared. “People often view us differently abroad, but this recognition sends a powerful message — that we, too, are capable, deserving, and excellent in what we do.”
