KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula has called on Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) to provide constructive suggestions for developing legislation that would strengthen their connection with Nepal.

Speaking at a program organized by the Nepali Congress Public Relations Committee at the party’s central office in Sanepa on Thursday, Sitaula emphasized the importance of NRN engagement in shaping policies that facilitate deeper national ties.

He assured that the party is committed to supporting the formulation of laws that reflect the concerns and aspirations of the global Nepali community. “We are ready to work on legal reforms that make it easier for Non-Resident Nepalis to maintain a strong bond with their homeland,” he said.

Sitaula highlighted that the current constitution has incorporated several provisions addressing the concerns of NRNs, and further efforts are underway through parliamentary channels to ensure smoother integration and recognition.

“No matter which country they reside in, all Nepalis share a common dream of a prosperous Nepal,” he added, underscoring unity among the diaspora in their dedication to Nepal’s development.
