President to present govt’s policy & programme for FY 2082/83 on Friday
President Ramchandra Paudel will address the joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly to present the government's annual policy and programme.

KATHMANDU: The Government of Nepal is set to unveil its policy and programme for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 on Friday.
The announcement will be made during a joint session of the Federal Parliament scheduled for 3 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.
President Ramchandra Paudel will address the joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly to present the government’s annual policy and programme.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, all preparations for the event have reached their final stage.
Invitations have been extended to all Members of Parliament, Vice President, Chief Justice, heads and representatives of constitutional commissions, senior government officials, diplomatic corps, and key figures from the private sector.
Spokesperson of the Secretariat, Ekram Giri, informed that necessary arrangements including hall cleaning, decoration of the premises, and management of entry passes are currently underway.
A rehearsal and security drill for the President’s motorcade will also be conducted Friday morning.
Following the joint session, separate meetings of both houses will be held to formally table the President’s address and express a vote of thanks.
Additionally, a letter from the Office of the President regarding the appointment of Khambhahar Garbuja as Minister of State for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation is expected to be read out.
