KATHMANDU: The official poster of the upcoming Nepali film “Jante Bakhro”, slated for release on Jestha 23 (June 6, 2025), has been revealed.
Blending humor, mystery, rural culture, and contemporary social themes, the poster features the film’s leading cast prominently, with a unique twist — a goat wearing pink sunglasses takes center stage.
Created by Royal Bhimsen and the Trident Concept Team, the poster hints at a captivating and comedic storyline through the expressions and placements of the characters.
Notable actors featured include Saugat Malla, Garima Sharma, Asif Shah, Lokendra Lekhak, Bishal Pahari, Kamal Devkota, and Rusha Neupane. The inclusion of the goat as the central figure suggests both a symbolic and humorous role in the narrative.
Directed by Simosh Sunuwar and produced under the banner of Muin Entertainment by Santosh Gautam, “Jante Bakhro” also stars Rama Thapaliya, Kusum Sharma, Sneha Joshi, Samapika Gautam, and Kushal Gajmer.
The screenplay is written by Pradeep Bhardwaj, while cinematography is led by Hari Humagain and Uttam Humagain, with editing by Sunil Shivabhakti.
The film draws its theme from the unique Nepali tradition where a goat, known as “Jante Bakhro”, is specially prepared and served during the wedding feast offered to the groom’s party.
The story unfolds around this social custom with a satirical and comedic twist.
Two songs from the film — “Ghamai Raja” and “Angurko Jhuppo” — have already garnered positive responses from the audience.
The film will be distributed by Tiphal Films and its digital rights have been acquired by G2 One Digital.
