KATHMANDU: The much-anticipated Nepali film ‘Jhilko’, set to release this Friday, has officially opened for advance ticket booking across cinemas nationwide.

Set in today’s digital age, Jhilko delivers a poignant narrative centered on the unregulated use of technology and its alarming impact on children’s lives, family relationships, and broader social well-being.

The film’s trailer, released earlier, stirred discussions by spotlighting issues such as smartphone addiction, parental negligence, and the widening emotional gap between parents and their children.

Directed by Yadav Kumar Bhattarai—renowned for his work in the critically acclaimed film Jhola—Jhilko seeks to ignite conversation among parents, educators, and policymakers about the urgent need for coordinated action to protect the mental and emotional well-being of children.
